Magiczne Miasta: Charmed By Poland’s Stary Ryneks, Old Town Squares
“Before you take my heart , reconsider” – Texas.
Backpacking in Starogard Gdański
I get charmed by Polish Old Town squares. Stary Ryneks! Oldy TSes! First it was Warszawa back in 2005. It took me ten years to triple it, when I calmly touristically smuggled Poznań and Kraków into my whackpacking centurion conurbation.
However, it was those quieter, off the wall, lesser ventured old town squares that were to melt my heart somehow. She kissed me in one. That whirlwind romance was saved for the girl of my dreams as she salivated me in urban Gdańsk on an ill-fated sunken dream. This year, 11 years after my wildest connection all began, I am in Olly, Olsztyn, once Allenstein, Alan’s Town. I live here now, it’s home. It’s my first time to experience Christmas in this oldy T S. Old Town Square. Stare Miasto. Stary Rynek. So far, I have backpacked through all of these Stary Ryneks in Poland. In chronological order, here’s one photo of each with me in it and me not in it. Just for proof of course since I’m a real blogger.
